The American Parkinson Disease Association – Greater St. Louis Chapter hosted its inaugural fundraising and speaker series, Cocktails & Conversation, at The Ritz on October 20, 2016.
Following an hour of hour d’oeuvres and conversation, Jon Palfreman, author of the best-seller Brain Storms, discussed his fascinating journey from reporting on Parkinson disease as a journalist to being diagnosed himself and learning to live with Parkinson’s, combining both the personal side of the illness as well as the latest in scientific research from around the world. The American Parkinson Disease Association- Greater St. Louis Chapter is so grateful to all of our sponsors, attendees and donors who contributed to Cocktails and Conversation. Your contributions are vital to the continuation of our services and help us provide programs and services to those with PD in our community as well as fund research in hopes of finding a cure for and cause of Parkinson’s. A full write-up of the event will be available in our February 2017 edition of the LiNK Newsletter; photos from the event can be found by scrolling down to the Cocktails and Conversation photo album on the right side of the page.
