Weekly Announcements: April 8-14

APDA Offices CLOSED: The APDA Resource Center in Chesterfield will be CLOSED on Friday, April 14th. Please check with your individual instructor if you attend a class or group at a different location. All activities will resume as normally scheduled on Monday, April 17. 

Tai Chi Update: There will be no Chair Side Tai Chi on Friday, April 14th. Classes will resume on Friday, April 23rd.

APDA Webinar- Spotlight on Movement Function: Coping With On/Off Periods:  Dr. Lisa Shulman of University of Maryland School of Medicine will present during the next national webinar on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 12:00-1:00 PM CST. Live Streaming Now Available: We are excited to announce that our exercise classes are now available online. Those who are home bound can now participate in high quality exercise programs designed specifically for people with Parkinson disease. Most APDA classes at the Exercise Suite in Chesterfield can be viewed live as they are happening. Additionally, there will be two weeks of archived classes available for on demand viewing. Optimism Walk Registration Now Open: This new family friendly event will take place on June 10, 2017 at 10:00 am. Visit http://stlapda.org/walk to register.

2017 Calendar:

Friday, April 14, 2017: APDA office is closed. All programming and classes held at the Chesterfield Resource Center are cancelled.

Sunday, April 23, 2017: PEP Meeting- Nutrition and Its Impact on Parkinson Disease with Dr. Heather Zwickey at The Jewish Community Center in Creve Coeur.

Monday, May 15, 2017: 19th Annual American Parkinson Disease Association Golf Classic in Memory of Jack Buck at Algonquin Golf Club in Glendale, MO. Reservations are required. Cocktail and dinner tickets are still available.

Saturday, June 10,2017: American Parkinson Disease Association Optimism Walk at Maryville University; a new event for the whole family! Reservations are required.
