Over 200 people asked questions about Parkinson Disease as part of a phone bank and webchat staffed by the St. Louis APDA, doctors, nurses and care partners on Channel 5 News September 26, 2013. This push for Parkinson Disease awareness occurred in conjunction with the Premiere of the Michael J. Fox Show on NBC. The show about Fox returning to work with Parkinson Disease is highlighting what it is like to live with this disease. Local news station, KSDK, featured the St. Louis APDA on September 26 in their newscasts. Columbia, MO affiliate, KOMU, also featured a local couple who facilitate APDA Parkinson Support Groups.
